My Story

From Rock Bottom to Purpose-Driven Success

In 2009, I walked out of prison with nothing but a second chance and determination to rebuild my life. Reality hit hard—I faced financial hardship, struggled to find stability, and experienced the pain of divorce. I lost everything, and for a while, I felt like I was starting from scratch with no clear direction.

Determined to turn my life around, I climbed the corporate ladder, providing risk mitigation solutions for some of the world’s largest companies. Years later, I experienced another blow—a second divorce, causing me to lose everything again. I felt like I was back at square one.

I made the decision that changed my life forever—I stepped into entrepreneurship and freedom. I realized my true purpose was to help people help people, and teach others how to turn their pain into profit, just as I had done.

Today, I run multiple successful businesses, a segment; The Risk Factor, on Fox 5 Plus, and mentoring others to build purpose-driven brands from their personal struggles. I became the example I never had—proof that no matter how many times life knocks you down, you can rise, rebuild, and create success on your own terms.

My Why

Simply to be the example I never had!

 I grew up searching for an example—someone who had walked the path I was on, faced the struggles I faced, and found a way to rise above it all. But that example never came. I had to carve my own way, stumbling through lessons that could have been taught, making mistakes that could have been avoided, and searching for a blueprint that didn’t exist for people like me.

That’s why I do what I do.

I became the example I never had—a living testament that no matter how far you’ve fallen, you can rise, rebuild, and create a life of purpose and impact. My mission is to help others do the same—to turn their pain into purpose, struggles into strategy, and setbacks into success.

But it doesn’t stop there with me. I believe in giving back, reaching back, and lifting up. That’s why I dedicate my time to working with young adults in Richmond City Public Schools by helping them develop a resilient mindset, a sense of purpose, and a vision for their future. Through mentorship, leadership training, and entrepreneurship programs, I provide them with the tools and mindset shifts necessary to break cycles, overcome adversity, and create new opportunities for themselves and their communities.

I do this because I know firsthand what it feels like to wonder if there’s more to life. Now, I AM that person for others. I am committed to ensuring that no young adult has to figure it all out alone—because I know the power of one example, one mentor and one opportunity to change everything.

This is my why, my purpose, and only the beginning!
